New SABR Business of Baseball Committee Website Launched
Written by SABR Business of Baseball Committee

During SABR Convention 2010 in Atlanta, the SABR Business of Baseball Committee launched its new website.  The new website was built with new goals in mind, and some of the features should fit with feedback received from committee members through the committee communications survey fielded earlier in 2010.

The website is designed with enhancements for simplicity and user-friendliness.  Some of the highlights include:

  • Historic photos on the homepage.  The photo appearing on the home page changes each time the website user visits the homepage.  There is also a photo magnification feature that can be activated by clicking on the photo.
  • A help page for citing research from the SABR Business of Baseball Committee.
  • Archives of the SABR Business of Baseball Committee newsletter, Outside the Lines.
  • A news feed devoted to SABR Business of Baseball Committee annoucements, accomplishments, and other important communications.
  • Resources such as databases like the Scholarly Works Database, documents such as the 2007-2011 Collective Bargaining Agreement, and lists such as books related to executives.

While the new website has been launched, more resources are in the process of being added to the website, meaning that more information should be available to you soon.

Take a look around the new website, and enjoy!

Thanks to Peter Garver, Ken Cherven, and a special thanks to Bill Hickman for making the new website a reality.
