But scanning isn't enough: when the articles are scanned and processed into text by the computer, they arrive with a good number of errors. Many of these errors leave the text readable, but make the articles hard for computers to search and unsuitable for use in an archive like this one. To make them really useful, they need to be read and corrected by people: fixing scanning errors, making sure tables are formatted correctly, making images viewable, and adding keywords.
