BASEBALL RESEARCH JOURNAL

The Society for American Baseball Research (SABR)was organized in Cooperstown, New York, in August

1971, and published its first annual Baseball Research Journal in January 1972. This is the second volume. The guiding principle is to place before the public some of the research results of members of the Society and to discuss some of the historical aspects of baseball not previously publicized. Copy for this volume was reviewed by Robert McConnell, George Hilton, and A]. Kermisch. Artwork was supplied by Ted Patterson. Comments may be directed to the editor. Copies of this volume are available for $3.00 through the mail. The 1972 issue is also available for the same price. They may be obtained from the editor:
