Committee members responded to many enquiries from SABR members, press and media personnel, and the general public during the past year.
Members research include the history of major-minor league affiliations, the longest (in time and length) doubleheaders, and statistics for players with very limited time in organized baseball.
Specialized league histories, as with the American Association, Pacific Coast League, Florida State League, Midwest League and others are being produced. Also, a number of individual teams’ histories have been done; a number of which appear through Arcadia publishers.
The committee, through Bob McConnell, is promoting an additional edition of Minor League Stars. An additional publication would include the statistics of players cited in the three previous books, plus the fourth edition.
The revised edition of the Encyclopedia of Minor league Baseball is nearing completion.
The committee is including the Independent Leagues in its discussions and the newsletter.
The committee provided three newsletters during the year.
Respectfully submitted

Chair, Minor League Committee
