The Minor League Committee met during the Seattle Convention with approximately twenty-five members present. The Committee will meet again during the St. Louis convention.

The Committee produced three newsletters during the past year.

Several research projects are in progress or have been completed by members.

The following serve as examples:
 

• Rex Hamann continues the publication of THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION ALMANAC
• Bob McConnell is pursuing a fourth edition of MINOR LEAGUE STARS
• Bill McMahon continues his Major-Minor league affiliation project
• Jerry Jackson continues his Minor League Managers project
• Lloyd Johnson is finishing the next edition of THE MINOR LEAGUE ENCYCLOPEDIA
   

Committee members get many varied research questions from non-members, media personnel, historians, sport publicists, family members, and others, usually via e-mail. Many members respond and perform a service that is one of the hallmarks of the SABR organization.

Kevin McCann will become chair of the committee at the conclusion of the St. Louis Convention and edits the committee newsletter Beating the Bushes.
