The minor league statistics project is pleased to announce the publication of statistics for five additional leagues: the 1997, 1998, and 1999 South Atlantic League, and 1955 American Association and Pacific Coast Leagues.
The addition of the SAL seasons now gives us an unbroken run of 12 seasons, 1992-2003, in which we offer full, proofed and balanced statistics for the league. This is notable because published statistics for a few of these seasons contained glitches, which we have been able to iron out.
The 1955 seasons add to our current focus on AAA leagues of that era, including the historically significant Open Classification era of the PCL.
These new additions come to you through the efforts of Cliff Blau, Art Cantu, and Stephen Davis. All are now incorporated into the player statistics on the SABR Encyclopedia at http://sabrpedia.org. |
